*MARLENE FLOOD, Voice Instructor, holds a Bachelor Degree in Arts: Theatre Performance; a Bachelor Degree in Music: Vocal Performance; and a Masters Degree in Music: Vocal Performance.  She is an Equity Actress and Singer in Chicago.  also performed for Drury Lane Oakbrook Theatre, Court Theatre,  Northlight Theatre, Pheasant Run Theatre, National Jewish Theatre, Candlelight Dinner Theatre, and Peninsula Players Theatre in Door County, Wisconsin.   She has taught Musical Theatre Classes at “Metropolis Performing Arts Center” , and has also taught Musical Theatre Workshops and Classes for their Outreach Program.  Marlene has taught Workshops in Voice and Voice-Over, Character Movement,  Classes in Acting for the past 15 years, and Private Voice Lessons for the past 7 years.  

*COLLEEN KAMINSKI, Musical Theater, Acting and Choreography Instructor, has been dancing for over 27 years and teaching dance class, private dance lessons and children theater classes for over 13 years.  She has training in the traditional styles of ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, and hip hop.  She has also added flamenco, swing, salsa and ballroom to her repertoire.  Colleen takes great pride in working in the theater business, choreographing for several theater companies around the Chicagoland area. She also boasts an impressive theater performing resume.  She looks forward to sharing her love for musical theater, dance and acting with the LGPAA students.

*NANCI KARLIN, Piano Instructor, has been private teaching music students for over 20 years. In addition, she performs throughout the Chicago area and is very active in community theater as both an actor and orchestra member.  Nanci studied music performance (flute, piccolo, piano & voice) at Indiana University in Bloomington, and earned her performance degree from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she received The John Philip Sousa Award for Musicianship.  Nanci is happy to be a part of LGPAA and looks forward to working with the students.

 * AMY MALOUF,  Voice Instructor, is excited to be joining the LGPAA teaching what she loves most of all-Acting and Singing! She received a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre from Illinois State University. Since then she has been performing all around the Chicago land area in theatres such as Metropolis Performing Arts Centre, Northbrook Theatre, Theatre Nebula, and Provision Theatre.  She has taught several musical theatre classes for the past four years all around the suburbs and is so honored to be a part of this amazing academy!

*JOHN RATAJCZAK, Guitar Instructor, is a musical fixture in the Long Grove community, performing frequently at the Beans & Leaves Cafe, from song circles to public shows. He is an experienced instructor in guitar with a passion for encouraging and nurturing students from beginner to intermediate. 

 *MADELINE FRANKLIN, Owner & Program Director, is a dedicated teacher of professionals and amateurs in pursuit of the creative process, drawing on years of experience as a director, manager, producer, actor, singer, and dancer. As a teacher and director, she is always ready to empower imagination, bolster confidence, build self-esteem, enhance social skills and unlock the joy of performance. Well-known within Chicagoland and the academy theater world for her skillful management of the production process, she has developed deep relationships with Harper College, Holy Family Catholic Academy, Theatre Nebula, and many other organizations. Additional skills and insights gained from film and production work - on camera and behind the scenes. Madeline has a Bachelor of Science in Drama and Speech from Illinois State University, as well as extensive training in vocal techniques, audition skills, acting, choreography and improvisation.
